From the 9th to the 13th of November 2015, Plan Bleu participated to the 8th World Conference of Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) that was held in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
The conference focused on ‘Ecosystem Services for Nature, People and Prosperity’ and paid special attention to the public and private sector dialogue on how the ecosystem services concept can be used to support conservation, improve livelihoods and engage the business community.
Among the 340 presentations and the 75 posters accepted for the conference, 1 presentation and 3 posters prepared by Plan Bleu were selected.
Nelly Bourlion, Plan Bleu’s Forest and Biodiversity Program Officer, took part in the Working Group B5 “Mediterranean” with her presentation on the theme “Economic valuation of services provided by ecosystems, a tool for sustainable development in the Mediterranean”.
