This axis aims at promoting, strengthening and improving the systems of statistic qualitative and quantitative environmental data collection and dissemination, and at supporting specific projects of data collection. More precisely, this axis is about the observation of biological, ecosystemic and socio-economic effects, states and indicators, referring to populations, human health and the environment. In addition, this work axis will promote the strengthening of regional national and local institutional capacity, for example in the case of observatories of the environment and sustainable development, and will contribute to the harmonization of environmental and socio-economic data collection methodologies in the Mediterranean region and within and between local and national institutions. |
